Major sewer projects throughout the city

The Division of Water Quality is taking steps to improve Lexington’s sanitary and storm sewer systems through capital (construction) projects. As part of the consent decree agreement, Lexington is required to improve our sanitary sewer system with nearly $600 million in projects over the next decade, in addition to requirements to improve our storm sewer system and stormwater quality.
